Frogs sweep Air Force in volleyball

The TCU women’s volleyball team breezed past Air Force, beating the Falcons in straight sets 3-0 Thursday night at the University Recreation Center.

The win improved the Frogs to 6-3 in Mountain West play and moved the team into second place in the conference standings. TCU is now 19-4 on the season.

Senior outside hitter Jordan Raines led the way for the Frogs with a team-high 15 kills while junior Megan Munce led the team with 18 assists. Junior libero Sarah Joeckel added 13 digs.

Air Force did not test TCU much the entire night.

TCU got out to a quick start and won the first set 25-11. From that point, the Horned Frogs wouldn’t be slowed down as they took the next two sets by the same score to finish off the sweep.

The Frogs will be back in action Saturday when they host Boise State at the Rec Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. The Frogs beat the Broncos 3-2 at Boise on Sept. 29.
