Last drug raid suspect no longer at-large

The suspect who had been wanted on an outstanding warrant since Wednesday’s drug bust is no longer at-large.

Hunter Wallace McLaughlin, 24, was booked at the Fort Worth City Jail at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Fort Worth and TCU Police arrested 16 current students on suspicion of drug dealing Wednesday morning, but McLaughlin was not apprehended. Fort Worth Police had warrants for 18 people, including McLaughlin, from information gathered during a 6-month investigation regarding drug deals near TCU’s campus.

According to an affidavit, undercover officer J.C. Williams was tipped that a man known as “Hunter” sold hydroponic marijuana and powder cocaine to university students in a house on Merida Street. Police later identified the seller as McLaughlin.

Williams bought almost $500 worth of marijuana over the next month and discussed with McLaughlin the possibility of future purchases, according to the affidavit.

McLaughlin was being sought for four charges of delivery of marijuana between 0.25 and 5 pounds. McLaughlin posted $7,500 bail and was released from Fort Worth City Jail.
