A club is bringing Christian women together at TCU and colleges around the country.

Football program announces 2011 award winners

Football program announces 2011 award winners

Seniors of the 2011 football team were honored at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on Saturday for winning three straight conference championships.

This achievement was a first in the program's history. 

The program also honored graduating seniors as they saw action at two BCS games. They also had a record of 23-1 at Amon G. Carter Stadium, 30-1 in Mountain West games and 47-5 overall.

The 19 seniors have either graduated or are on track to graduate by the fall.

  • Most Valuable Player Offensive Scout Team – Chris Hackett (Tyler)
     
  • Davey O’Brien Fightin’est Frog Award – Waymon James (Sherman)
     
  • Grassy Hinton Most Conscientious Award – Spencer Thompson (Plainview)
     
  • Y.Q. McCammon Outstanding Squadman – Cisi
     
  • Abe Martin Leadership Award – Thompson
     
  • Ralph Lowe Sportsmanship Award – Jeff Olson (McKinney)
     
  • G. Malcolm Louden Academic Achievement Award – Luke Shivers (Whitehouse)
     
  • Most Valuable Player Special Teams (Tie) – Antonio Graves (Texarkana) and Greg McCoy (Dallas)
     
  • Special Teams Points Leader – Deryck Gildon (Arlington)
     
  • Most Valuable Player Defense – Tank Carder (Sweeny)
     
  • Most Valuable Player Offense – Casey Pachall (Brownwood)
