Four ways to make the best of your Fourth

This Fourth of July doesn’t have to be spent babysitting your cousins at a family barbeque.

We’ve got a list of things for you to do in Fort Worth this U.S. Independence Day.

Patio Party at the Brownstone
1. The Brownstone Kitchen and Bar will host a two-day "Independence Day Celebration." On Tuesday a DJ will spin from 10 p.m until 2 a.m. and live music will blare on Wednesday on their patio.

A Willie Nelson Fourth of July
2. Interested in spending your independance day with a few country stars? Willie Nelson’s 4th of July indoor and outdoor picnic in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards may just be the place for you! Jamey Johnson will perform on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. and Stoney LaRue is set to perform at 9:30 p.m. on the outdoor stage in only to be followed by Randy Rogers Band at 10:30 p.m. The party doesn’t end there, though, because Willie Nelson himself will perform at 11 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $35. Chairs, umbrellas, pets and coolers are not welcome, but anyone ready to have a great time certainly is.

Bar Louie fireworks watch
3. Bar Louie isn’t doing anything special for Fourth of July, but they have an elevated patio that’s perfect for fireworks watching. They also have $10 buckets of beer as their normal Wednesday special.

Fort Worth’s Fourth
4. Have you tubed in the Trinity River yet? Well here’s your chance with a little extra spark. There will be some fireworks fun at Panther Island Pavilion in Trinity Uptown. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs for front row seats to this firework display if you’re not floating. The festival will start at 4:30 p.m., Fire in the Sky concert at 6 p.m., Back in Black concert at 8 p.m. and fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.
