The caffeine buzz is a college student's drug

College students seem to have a reliance on caffeine to get them through lectures and late night study sessions, but there are healthier alternatives to power through the day.

Off campus crime alert issued, robbery on Berry Street and University Drive

TCU Police notified all students of a robbery that took place Tuesday night at Kroger’s located at W. Berry Street and S. University Drive.

The robbery occurred around 8:15 p.m. The victim reported that a short black male wedged himself in the driver’s door in his vehicle in the parking lot, according to an email sent from Police Sergeant Kelly Ham on Friday afternoon. The male demanded $10 from the victim and when the victim refused, the suspect stated he had a knife. The victim then gave the suspect $10 and the suspect walked away without any further incident.
 
Students and faculty are advised to do the following:

Leave outside lights on at night and keep lights on in more than one room.

Secure all doors and windows

Before walking several blocks home from campus call for an escort.

Always lock your door when going to the rest room.

CAMPUS POLICE FOR ESCORTS at 7777.

Keep car doors locked at all times; even if you are going into a place for a short time.

Always look in your back seat before entering your car.

Always have keys ready to unlock the car door and enter without delay. Never walk across the parking lot digging in your purse for your keys. Have them in your hand before leaving a building.

Always park in well lighted areas.
