The McAlister's on the TCU community opens next week, and they have a plan to entice customers.

Adam Saxton, vice president of The Saxton Group, the company that owns the new McAlister's, said the gift cards will be given out during McAlister's Deli's grand opening on Aug. 27 at 10:30 a.m.

The new McAlister's is located on University Drive, on the same strip as Dutch’s Burgers and Buffalo Bros.

Unlike any other McAlister’s restaurant, the new Fort Worth location will have a crew decked out in TCU purple, will be decorated with TCU decor and will have the TCU logo on all of its cups.

“McAlister’s is very excited to join the community and to give TCU students a lot more variety,” Rustin Tholen, McAlister’s manager said.

Although the grand opening starts at 10:30 a.m., the store will open regularly at 7 a.m. for breakfast everyday after, Tholen said.

We are trying to promote a really quick, in and out place for college students to eat, Tholen said.

The new location is still hiring and meeting with interested applicants, Tholen said.

“We’re excited that TCU is a part of the Big 12 and that we can be a part of the first year with you all,” Tholen said.
