TCU Connect hopes to mirror DirectTV

TCU Connect added 20 HD television channels to its lineup over the summer.

The new channels were added at no additional cost to students living on campus, Patti Sellers, supervisor of TCU Connect, said in an email. They added the channels after speaking with the university’s Student Government Association.

“When our contract is up for renewal, we enlist input from the SGA for modifications to our lineup,” Sellers said. “If it does not impact our budget and the content is available, we make these modifications.”

TCU Connect’s goal is to mirror the HD lineup of DirectTV, TCU’s cable provider, she said. The entire lineup will be added to TCU Connect as funds become available.
