Frogs move up to No. 16 in AP poll, No. 15 in Coaches Poll

The TCU football team moved up in both major polls Sunday.

The Horned Frogs, who Saturday night beat Grambling State 56-0, moved up four spots to No. 16 in the Associated Press poll and two spots to No. 15 in the Coaches' Poll.

View both polls below. A few notables from the latest rankings included:

  • Arkansas was dropped from the AP poll after being ranked 8th last week. The Razorbacks lost Saturday to Louisiana-Monroe. Arkansas fell from 10th to 21st in the Coaches' Poll.
  • Wisconsin went from 13th to unranked in the AP poll after losing Saturday to Oregon State. The Badgers dropped from 13th to 21st in the Coaches' Poll.
  • Oklahoma State went from 18th to unranked after losing Saturday at Arizona. The Cowboys also went unranked in the Coaches' Poll.
  • The top seven teams remained intact in the AP poll, with Alabama receiving 48 first-place votes, USC with eight and LSU with three. The only change to the top 10 of the Coaches' Poll was LSU jumping USC for the 2nd spot and Arkansas' drop from No. 10.
  • Florida State and Oklahoma tied for 5th in the AP poll, both receiving 1,160 votes. The Sooners edged the Seminoles for the fifth spot in the Coaches' Poll.
  • Kansas State went from No. 21 to No. 15 in the AP poll, just ahead of the Frogs, after a 52-13 win Saturday over Miami. The Wildcats jumped six spots to No. 14 in the Coaches' Poll.
