Kansas will try to snap a 12 game conference-losing streak against TCU. Here are a few players to watch as the Jayhawks come back from a 25-24 loss to Rice last week.

Offense: Dayne Crist, Senior, Quarterback

Dayne Crist, like Casey Pachall, is playing in his first Big 12 season. The transfer student from Notre Dame threw for 144 yards and a touchdown in the Jayhawks loss to Rice. As a junior at Notre Dame, Crist appeared in four games and completed 15 passes for a total of 164 yards. Crist had an injury-plagued career, tearing his ACL in 2009 and rupturing his patella tendon in 2010.

Defense: Brady McDougal, Senior, Safety

Brady McDougald leads the Big 12 in interceptions with two.  Both picks came during the Jayhawks season opener against South Dakota State. Last week, McDougald recorded eight tackles and a pass breakup. Kansas's defense forced eight turnovers in two games this season.

Special Teams: Ron Doherty, Junior, Punter

Ron Doherty earned Big 12 honorable mention accolades from Big 12 coaches and the Associated Press last season.  He averaged 42.8 yards per punt and recorded 13 punts of 50 yards or more as a sophomore. This season, he set a new career long of 63 yards against South Dakota State. The Klein, Texas, native punted eight times this season with a 46.9 average.
