The TCU defense will face another high-scoring offense in Texas Tech this week. The Red Raiders average over 40 points per contest. The Frogs’ defense, which forced six turnovers last week, is holding teams to 14.5 points per contest and forcing over three turnovers per game.

Sam Carter, safety, sophomore

Sam Carter recorded seven solo tackles and a pair of sacks against Baylor last week. He also intercepted a pass with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter. The Alief native has 30 tackles on the season including 3.5 for loss. Carter has started all six games this season after making one start against Baylor and playing in 11 games last year.

Josh Carraway, defensive end, freshman

With starter Stansly Maponga a game-time decision, head coach Gary Patterson said, Josh Carraway could play and burn his redshirt in Maponga’s absence. Carraway racked up 51 tackles as a senior at Marcus High School. The Flower Mound native earned honorable mention all-state honors. He chose TCU over Colorado State and Louisiana-Monroe.

Cam White, wide receiver, sophomore

Cam White scored his first collegiate touchdowns against Baylor last week.  White’s first two catches turned into points for the Frogs on runs of 18 and 15 yards respectively. White added two more catches to finish with 51 total yards. The DeSoto native has 145 yards on 10 catches this season.
