    West Virginia dropped its last two games by a combined score of 104-28. The Mountaineers’ wide receiver Tavon Austin leads the Big 12 with 10.6 receptions per game.

    Geno Smith, quarterback, senior

    Geno Smith went 21-of-32 for 143 yards and a touchdown against Kansas State in West Virginia's last game before its bye week. He also threw his first two interceptions of the season, which snapped a streak of 327 consecutive passes without an interception.  Smith’s 74.3 completion percentage ranks No. 1 nationally. He is West Virginia’s career leader for completions (836), pass attempts (1,239) and passing touchdowns (82).

    Tavon Austin, wide receiver, senior

    Tavon Austin accounted for all 14 points in the Mountaineers' loss against Kansas State. Austin ran back a kickoff 100 yards for a score in the first half and had a five-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter.  Austin is the career leader for receptions (248) and yards (2,912). He has collected 788 yards and a team-high 74 receptions on the season.  

    Isaiah Bruce, linebacker, freshman

    Isaiah Bruce ranks No. 4 in the Big 12 with 9.4 tackles per game. He recorded a season-high 16 tackles against Marshall. Bruce has five tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and 66 tackles on the season. West Virginia has allowed 39.9 points per game and 493.6 yards of total offense.
