Texas country music artist Phil Hamilton will perform Tuesday night as part of the Texas Music Tuesdays concert series at the 1873 Sports Grill & Café.

Hamilton's second album, Renegade Rock N' Roll, was released in January and yielded a number one single and a top ten single on the Texas Music Chart and Texas Regional Radio Report, according to Hamilton's biography page.

"Bad," Hamilton's second single from the new album, was Hamilton's first number one song, hitting the top of the Texas Regional Radio Report back in April. "Nothing to Lose" and "Nine Mile" from Hamilton's first album, Nothing to Lose, were top 15 singles on the report as well.

Hamilton was born and raised in Burleson and graduated in the same high school class as original "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson, according to his website.

Hamilton has opened for artists like the Casey Donahew Band, Randy Rogers Band and the Josh Abbott Band.

The free concert will feature KTCU t-shirt giveaways, free music demos and a chance to win a guitar signed by each artist in the Texas Music Tuesdays series.

The concert will begin at 9 p.m.
