The TCU men’s basketball team hasn’t taken a lead against a Big 12 opponent since the 19-minute mark in the second half against West Virginia on Feb. 9.

The following game at Oklahoma, the Frogs didn’t hit the 10-point barrier until three minutes before halftime. On Saturday, TCU couldn’t slow down an Iowa State team that hit 14 3-pointers and shot 51.9 percent from the field.

Sophomore guard Kyan Anderson paced TCU (10-15 overall, 1-11 Big 12) against the Cyclones with 11 points. Senior forward Connell Crossland posted his fifth double-digit game (10 points) in the last seven.

The Frogs are 1-1 in their last set of home games, but have dropped two road games coming into Tuesday’s matchup. TCU has led at the final buzzer once in Big 12 play and have yet to take a lead that late again.

The Frogs will look for their second Big 12 win against a Texas squad that got trounced 73-47 by No. 14 Kansas Saturday. Sophomore guard Myck Kabongo had 13 points on 2-of-10 shooting. As a team, the Longhorns shot 21.8 percent from the field.

Texas (11-14, 3-9) won the first meeting against the Frogs 60-43 in Austin. TCU only led once against the Longhorns, on the opening bucket less than a minute into the game. TCU shot 15.4 percent from the behind the 3-point line and went 17-of-52 overall from the field (.327).

The Longhorns have three players averaging double figures led by sophomore guard Sheldon McClellan with 14.2 points per game.

TCU and Texas will tipoff at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
