TCU went 0-of-4 from behind the 3-point line and let Texas make a run at the end of the first half to fall behind 33-25 at half.

The Texas Longhorns took an early 5-1 lead, but the Frogs stayed within two on a Nate Butler Lind layup. Texas went on a 6-0 run to take a 13-5 lead and extended that to 21-11.  Garlon Green scored six of the Frogs’ points in a 10-3 that cut the lead to 24-21 with 3:28 left in the half.

The Frogs and Longhorns traded free throws to make it a 27-24 game. Buckets by Prince Ibeh and Myck Kabongo gave Texas the eight point halftime lead. The Frogs were called for a shot clock violation on their final possession of the half.

Green led all scorers with 11 points while Kabongo had eight for Texas. The Frogs shot 45 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from the free throw line. Texas hit 59 percent of its first half shots.
