Men’s tennis sweeps Oklahoma State for first Big 12 win

The TCU men's tennis team swept its first Big 12 opponent Friday night 7-0. The No. 33 ranked Horned Frogs dominated Oklahoma State University in Stillwater with the first win of the Big 12 Conference play.
 
 
 
The Horned Frogs improved to 16-5 on the year, while Oklahoma State slipped to 11-9.
 
TCU pulled ahead early in doubles as Arnau Dachs and Orlando Superlano at No. 2 doubles finished first with a 9-8 win.
 
Following in Dachs and Superlano's example, sophomore duo Nick Chappell and Will Stein came away with a win 9-8 at No. 1 doubles court to secure the point.
 
Utilizing the momentum gained from doubles, the TCU singles pulled ahead early with Rodolfo Bustamante at No. 6 singles, giving TCU a 2-0 lead on the match.
 
The TCU advantage improved when No. 119 Dachs won his match at No. 2 court. Dachs has won eight-straight matches. Superlano followed at No. 3 singles.
 
Chappell, ranked 103, made it 5-0 in favor of the visiting Frogs at No. 1 singles. TCU polished off the sweep with wins by JT Sundling at No. 5 and Facundo Lugones on the No. 4 singles court. 
 
TCU will return to action Sunday to take on its next Big 12 opponent, No. 11 Oklahoma.
