The TCU women's tennis team will play its last regular season game against Texas Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The No. 25 Horned Frogs dropped to 17-4 overall and 6-2 in the Big 12 after losing to Texas Tech Friday.
"I think it's going to be a tough match," TCU head coach Dave Borelli said. "Especially after coming back from a tough match."
TCU and Texas have matched up an all-time 26 times. TCU has won five matches, including the last three in the series.
No. 45 Stefanie Tan leads TCU in singles with a 14-6 record and a 5-2 mark against Big 12 competitors.
No. 100 Olivia Smith is 12-6 on the season and Monika Sirilova has won her last 12 singles matches and has a 8-0 conference record.
After a 4-3 loss against Baylor, No. 26 Texas is currently 13-10 and 6-2 in Big 12 play.
Two recent victories lifted Texas senior Aeriel Ellis in Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings to No. 38.
"It's not like the Mountain West, we don't get any freebies," Borelli said. "You don't win by showing up, you win by getting out there and playing, but that's why we are in the Big 12."
The match is set to start at noon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
