As the Big 12 Championships conclude, the TCU women’s golf team awaits to see if they are selected for an at-large bid to the NCAA Regionals next month.

The Horned Frogs, who have reached the NCAA postseason for 17 consecutive seasons, tied for sixth place at the Big 12 Championships this weekend in Rhodes, Ia.

No. 17 Oklahoma State won the conference championship with a 905. No. 23 Baylor finished two-strokes behind the champions with a 907. No. 48 TCU and No. 16 Texas tied for 6th place with a 936.

Alexandra Bonetti and Sanna Nuutinen led the Frogs, finishing tenth and 13th overall individually. Bonetti’s top ten finish earned her place on the Big 12’s All-Tournament team.

Nuutinen posted four birdies on the final round, three of which were on the back nine.

Baylor’s Lauren Taylor finished three-under-par with a total score of 213, earning medalist honors. Taylor finished eight shots ahead of Iowa State’s Punpaka Phuntumabamrung.
