TCU women’s basketball player Kamy Cole is transferring from the university, TCU's head coach Jeff Mittie said.

Cole, who is transferring to SMU, played guard for the Horned Frogs last season. She averaged 9.8 points per game, the third-highest per game average on TCU’s squad and fourth highest among Big 12 freshmen. She played in all 30 games for TCU last year, starting 22 of them.

"We wish Kamy the best in her future endeavors," Mittie said.

In high school, Cole averaged 25.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game  as a senior at Brock High School. Cole was a member of a four-time consecutive 2A state championship team. She was also named a Texas All-American and won the TABC 2A Player of the Year award her senior season.

Cole’s older sister, Kenzie Cole, played basketball at SMU from 2004-2006.
