174 students, a record number, went on this year's trip.

Lady Frogs trail Illinois State at the half

llinois State sophomore forward Rachel Tejada scored the only goal in the first half at the 34th minute, and TCU trails the Lady Redbirds 0-1 after the first half of the women's soccer team's home opener.

TCU (2-1-1) had a couple of chances to score in the first six minutes of play, but the headers were rejected by Illinois State junior goalkeeper Aryn Newsom, who tallied three saves in the first half.

The Lady Frogs took nine shots on goal in the first half, while the Lady Redbirds (1-3-0) attempted seven.

TCU junior goalkeeper VIttoria Arnold has five saves in the first 45 minutes of play.

Illinois State has been outscored 9-1 in the last two matches, but the Lady Frogs haven’t been able to get on the scoreboard.

The Redbirds made the NCAA Tournament last season.
