The TCU volleyball team is traveling to Prairie View, Texas on Wednesday to face its last nonconference opponent of the season in Prairie View A&M.

The Horned Frogs (13-11, 2-8 Big 12) and the Panthers (10-23, 4-4 SWAC) are meeting for the sixth time. TCU holds a 5-0 advantage in the series, and all wins have been sweeps by the Frogs.

TCU dropped another close match to Kansas on Saturday, pushing their losing streak to four in a row.

TCU’s junior right-side hitter Stephanie Holland led the team offensively with 14 kills, while freshman outside hitter Ashley Smith added 13 and senior middle blocker Yvonne Igodan contributed 10.

Sophomore setter Alexia Heist and redshirt freshman Trisha Langley controlled the Horned Frog offense with 27 and 20 assists, respectively, Sophomore defensive specialist Sutton Sunstrum and freshman libero Shane Peters recorded eight digs each. 

Prairie View A&M is coming off a victory over UAPB on Halloween night in four sets, snapping a two-game losing streak. PVAMU started the season with a win before dropping the next 13 matches and then picking up another win.

Junior right-side hitter Candyce Alexander contributed 16 kills in the match and earned SWAC Newcomer of the Week. Senior setter Kelsey Espinosa chipped in 39 assists and junior libero LaKeisha Allen added 17 digs.
