Volleyball sweeps Prairie View A&M

    The volleyball team snapped a four-game losing streak by sweeping Prairie View A&M in the last nonconference game of the 2013 season.

    The Frogs (14-11, 2-8 Big 12) had all 15 players see some action in the game while dispatching the Panthers (10-24, 4-4 SWAC) in straight sets (25-20, 25-16, 25-19).

    Junior right side hitter Stephanie Holland led the Frogs in kills with seven, while sophomore setter Alexia Heist led the team in assists with 19.

    The team finished the match with 10 total blocks, which is the third match in a row and the 13th match this season where the Frogs recorded double-digit blocks.

    The Frogs will return to conference action at 
    1 p.m. Nov. 9, hosting the Baylor Bears at the University Recreation Center.
