No. 3 TCU got back to its winning ways Saturday, battling South Dakota State to a 7-7 draw at the NM State Equestrian Center. The Frogs captured their fourth victory of the season, outscoring the Jackrabbits by an overall raw score of 1,200.75-1,165.25.

On Friday, TCU’s unbeaten streak came to a halt, dropping a 9-6 decision to No. 6 New Mexico State.

In all, TCU’s Nicole Diamantis and Alexi Child both earned Most Outstanding Player accolades at New Mexico State.

In Equitation over Fences, Diamantis claimed her first MOP of the season, downing Emily McConnell, 84-67, which helped the Purple and White record a 3-1 victory in the discipline. Sophomore Taylor Alexander also came out with a strong outing, upending Shannon Dooley, 79-77. Freshman Molly Peddicord secured the final point for the Frogs, defeating Beth Solomon.

Kaitlin Perry continued her winning ways in Equitation on the Flat Friday, scoring the lone point for TCU with a 75-56 victory over Amber Tassel. Senior Caitlin Ader, who claimed Big 12 Rider of the Month accolades this week, appeared to have scored a point for the Frogs, but came up short, falling to Julie Frey, 58-56.

In Reining, returning All-America honoree Alexi Child garnered her first MOP of the year Friday with a 72-70 victory over Tara Wilson. Shelby St. Hilaire battled Marissa Bartman to a 70.5-70.5 draw, while Katelyn Gray came up just short, falling to Brynn Larson.

TCU tried to rally in Horsemanship, but ultimately fell, 3-1. Newcomer Megan McMullen ousted Jessica Woolsey, 72-70, to give the Frogs momentum, but TCU was unable to record any more points in the discipline. With the win, McMullen moved to 4-0 on the season.

The Horned Frogs will resume action Nov. 16 against Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
