College students seem to have a reliance on caffeine to get them through lectures and late night study sessions, but there are healthier alternatives to power through the day.

TCU and KSU will meet for the seventh time since 1922 on Saturday. Here are 15 facts and figures about the game:

1: Number of times head coach Gary Patterson has coached against the Wildcats in Manhattan, Kans. Patterson coached the Tennessee Tech linebackers in 1984 in a 28-12 loss to Kansas State.

2: Kansas State’s Big 12 ranking for third down conversions. The Wildcats get first downs 50.4 percent of the time. Baylor is No. 1 at 52.7 percent.

3: Number of interceptions each by Kevin White, Sam Carter and Chris Hackett. The Frogs’ 17 total interceptions lead the Big 12.

8: TCU receivers with 10 or more catches this season. LaDarius Brown leads the Frogs with 32 catches.

10: Number of 100-yard rushing games for Wildcats junior running back John Hubert. He had 157 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries in last week’s win over Texas Tech.

10: Rushing touchdowns by Kansas State quarterback Daniel Sams. This leads the Wildcats and is second in the conference behind Baylor’s Lance Seastrunk (11).

15: Tackles for loss recorded by Kansas State defensive end Ryan Mueller, including 10.5 sacks. Mueller leads the Big 12 and is tied for second nationally.

74.5: Sams’ completion percentage this season. Sims has completed 35-of-47 passes for 429 yards and four touchdowns and four interceptions.

100: Passing yards quarterback Casey Pachall needs to reach 5,000 career passing yards. Pachall is second in passing yards all-time under Patterson behind Andy Dalton (10,314).

197.7: Rushing yards per game for the Kansas State offense. TCU’s defense allows a league-best 125.2.

175: Wins recorded by Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder. He is the 46thcoach in NCAA history to win that many games and the 11th coach to win them all at one school.

3-3: Overall series record between TCU and Kansas State. The Wildcats won last year’s game 23-10 for their first win in the series since 1986.

1981-82: Seasons defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Dick Bumpas coached the defensive line at Kansas State.

1983: The year Patterson graduated from Kansas State. He played linebacker and safety for the Wildcats from 1980-81. TCU track and field coach Darryl Anderson also graduated from KSU in 1983.

1985: The last time TCU traveled to Manhattan, Kans. TCU beat the Wildcats 24-22.
