The TCU Equestrian team lost 11-5 to fourth-ranked Georgia at home Saturday in its final match of the fall.

The Western team earned a 5-3 victory, but the Horned Frogs eventually fell to the Bulldogs at Turning Point Ranch to fall to 4-3 on the season.

“I am really proud of the Western team. They really bounced back after two tough weeks and showed some mental toughness,” said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. “It was a tough day mentally and physically for everyone. Overall, it was a good test to see where we are as a team and what we need to improve on before our next meet in February.”

The Frogs’ biggest loss came in Hunt Seat, where the Bulldogs earned an 8-1 victory. All-American Caitlin Ader earned TCU’s lone point, a 78-72 win over Liza Finsness.

TCU earned a 3-2 victory in Reining behind the performance of All-American Katelyn Gray, who defeated Lindsey Cheek 70-66.5. Alexi Child won 71.5-71 against Lauren Tieche to earn her fourth straight win in the discipline and improve to 6-1 on the season.

The Frogs also had a 2-1 victory in Horsemanship with wins from Erin Gillette and Paige Stawicki.

The Frogs next match will be against Delaware State at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on Feb. 7.
