The women’s basketball team defeated Prairie View A&M 76-47 Saturday evening, closing out the non-conference slate at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

This was their fifth-straight win to improve to 9-3 overall.

Sophomore guard Zahna Medley led a quartet of Horned Frogs in double figures with a game-high of 17 points.

Junior forward Chelsea Prince, in her first start since March 7, 2012, scored 15 points. The Fort Worth native’s 15 points were a season high and just one short of her career high set in 2011.

Freshmen Klara Bradshaw and Jada Butts both scored 11 points.

TCU opens Big 12 action against Iowa State on Thursday, Jan 2. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
