    5 Must-see concerts coming to Dallas-Fort Worth

    5 Must-see concerts coming to Dallas-Fort Worth

Check out these five hot concerts coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth area this spring.

2014 is shaping up to be one of the best years for concerts. Since TCU is located in the heart of the Metroplex, we are able to enjoy an array of concerts. From headline-making DJs at the South Side Ballroom to country artists at Billy Bob’s to rock bands at the House of Blues, the next few weeks will offer up a plethora of talented artists making their way to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Featured below are five unique acts that you cannot afford to miss.

    1. Disclosure

The electronic duo that made waves with their debut album last year is bringing their thumping beats to the House of Blues. The album, Settle, was ranked in the top 20 albums of 2013 by Rolling Stone and was the highest ranking EDM (electronic-dance music) album. Disclosure, already a sensation in the United Kingdom, is now making their mark in the United States.

    3. Turnpike Troubadours

At 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, another noteworthy band will perform at the House of Blues. Turnpike Troubadours are a country band from Oklahoma most recognized for their songs “Long Hot Summer Day” and “Every Girl”. Don’t miss out on this fun concert!

    4. Young the Giant

This Valentines day at 9 p.m., an alt-rock band from Irvine, Calif., Young the Giant, will perform at the South Side Ballroom. Known for their hit songs “Cough Syrup” and “My Body,” Young the Giant released their newest album earlier in January. What better a Valentines day present than a trip to Dallas to see this hit band?

    5. The Eagles

The Eagles’ “History of the Eagles” concert tour is coming to the American Airlines Center in Dallas at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The band will perform songs that many have never heard live as well as crowd favorites like “Hotel California.” Don’t miss out on the performance from this legendary band!
