    Still trying to shake a 10-game losing streak loose, the TCU men’s basketball team trails Baylor 49-38 at halftime.

    Junior guard Kyan Anderson scored a game-high 18 points in the first half. The Fort Worth native became the 32nd player in school history to reach 1,000 career points on Saturday.

    The Bears (14-9, 2-8 Big 12) have already hit eight three-pointers and have yet to trail tonight. Baylor beat TCU 88-62 in Waco, Texas, earlier this season

    TCU has since lost seven in a row. They are getting outrebounded 17-10 so far tonight.

    Baylor jumped out to an early 8-0 lead after consecutive three-pointers and an Isaiah Austin jumper. The seven-foot-tall center from Arlington, Texas, has 14 points at halftime.

    The center averages 10.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for Baylor this season.

    After Austin hit his second three-pointer of the night, the Frogs trailed 21-6 with 13:42 left in the half. The Bears made 8-of-11 shot attempts during that stretch.  

    Midway through the half, TCU was down by 14 and had four rebounds.

    Junior forward Amric Fields has scored 10 points so far. Fields also grabbed three rebounds in the first half.

    Anderson, who averages a team-high 15.7 points and 4.9 assists per game this season, hit a three-pointer with 6:17 remaining to cut the Bears’ lead to 10.

    The Frogs brought the deficit down to eight points after a three-pointer from freshman guard Hudson Price but the Bears responded with a three-pointer of their own.
