    CBS Evening News set to broadcast from TCU

    The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley is set to broadcast live from the TCU campus today at 5:30 p.m. central time.

    Pelley will anchor his newscast as normal with former Evening News anchor and TCU alumnus Bob Schieffer making a guest appearance.

    Pelley’s visit will help kick off the 10th annual Schieffer Symposium, which will take place on TCU’s campus in Ed Landreth Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

    Pelley will join Schieffer for the Symposium along with Bob Woodward, author and speechwriter Peggy Noonan and former Dateline NBC host Jane Pauley.

    The CBS Evening News is the main daily television news program of the network, focusing its coverage on national news and politics.

    As of last week, the program averaged slightly above 6.8 million viewers.

    The broadcast will take place in the TCU Convergence Center located in the Moudy South Building.
