One day after blanking the Big 12’s top team, TCU baseball found a way to do it again, shutting out Texas 2-0 Friday night to secure the series win.

The Frogs held the Longhorns to only four hits and three walks. Junior Preston Morrison pitched seven shutout innings and earned his fifth win of the year.

With the win, TCU improves its overall record to 25-13 overall and 9-5 in Big 12 play. The game also drops Texas from the Big 12’s top spot.

Both teams currently hold a 9-5 record in conference play. Saturday’s matchup will decide who holds sole possession of the Big 12’s second-place.

The Longhorns haven’t been swept by TCU since 1994.
