Despite giving up two in the first inning, the TCU baseball team scored 10 unanswered runs Friday night to beat Oklahoma 10-2 and extend their winning streak to 13.

Junior center fielder Cody Jones had three hits, two runs and two RBIs in the win. The Round Rock, Texas, native has 46 hits and 37 runs this season.

Left-hander Brandon Finnegan returned from injury to get the start. The junior allowed OU’s sole pair of runs, but limited the damage after that by striking out four batters in four innings.

Finnegan is 8-2 on the season and holds an ERA of 1.66, which is second-best among TCU’s starters.

With Friday night’s win, the Frogs improve to 35-13 (14-5 Big 12) and remain tied with Oklahoma State (36-13, 14-5 Big 12) for first place in the Big 12. TCU hasn’t lost since April 12.

The Frogs continue their series with the Sooners Saturday afternoon. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
