Defensive tackle Aaron Curry will transfer to TCU from Nebraska.

Curry’s father, Aaron Curry Sr., said his son signed scholarship papers with TCU on Monday. The junior from Keller, Texas is expected to begin practicing with the team by Wednesday.

Due to transfer eligibility rules, Curry must sit out the 2014 season.

Curry is the second Husker to transfer to TCU in the last two years. TCU running back Aaron Green transferred after the 2011 season, redshirted in 2012, and rushed for 232 yards last season.

Curry played in every game last season for the Huskers, and he started all eight Big Ten games. He finished the season with 24 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a pair of sacks.

The 6-foot-1, 280 pound Curry will contend for a starting spot in 2015, as senior defensive tackle Chucky Hunter will be graduating this spring.
