Junior Trevone Boykin got the nod at quarterback for the Frogs, throwing two touchdowns and rushing for another.

Joeckel entered the game with 7:37 remaining, and threw a touchdown to Listenbee on his second throw of the game.
However, the senior transfer from Texas A&M threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Samford’s Jamerson Blount.
The Horned Frogs’ next game will be September 13 against Minnesota.
