Students are both excited and annoyed about Jason Derulo’s upcoming fall performance.
Within seconds of Wednesday’s fall concert announcement, students took to social media with force. The Student Government Association’s selection for the annual Fall Concert created a buzz.
First year strategic communications major, Kristi Barbato, said that she is a big fan of Derulo and has enjoyed seeing him perform before.
“I think that’s sick. He’ll be really entertaining because he dances and sings,” Barbato said.
Sophomore supply chain management major, Zach Trigg, applauded the SGA for mixing it up from previous concerts.
“Switching things up isn’t a bad idea,” Trigg said.
Junior economics major, Michael Speanburg, said that he is definitely not pleased with the choice of Derulo and preferred the country artists that had played before.
“I was fairly disappointed when I heard Derulo was performing,” Speanburg said. “With TCU’s ample amount of resources and success in prior fall concerts, I was surprised they settled for Jason Derulo.”
Still, many students are thrilled to see the Billboard chart-topping artist sing and dance in the Campus Commons Oct. 5th.
