Despite being outshot 19-9, TCU played to a 1-1 tie against Baylor on Friday in Waco.

RS senior goalie Vittoria Arnold blocked eight out of nine shots from the Bears. The one mistake came in the 13th minute after a corner kick resulted in an opening for the Bears.

Sophomore Lauren Sajewich responded with two scoring opportunities of her own, but the scoring attempts were just wide of the goal.

TCU (7-4-2, 0-1-2 Big 12) scored in the 44th minute to equalize it. Junior Bobbi Clemmer sent the ball into the 6-yard box after a foul against Baylor in the Frogs’ offensive zone. The Baylor defense misplayed it, and junior Makenzie Koch headed the ball into the net.

With less than 10 minutes to go in regulation, freshman Jill Finnerty had a chance to break the tie with a penalty kick. However, Finnerty’s shot hit off the crossbar, and she couldn’t net the rebound.

Despite two overtime periods, the Frogs couldn’t find a way to take the lead.

TCU’s next matchup will be against Oklahoma State on Friday in Oklahoma.
