This story has been corrected to accurately reflect what Tuanphatt Du was studying while at TCU.

Police have arrested the man who is accused of hiding in a residence hall closet on Friday Nov. 7.

TCU police Sgt. Kelly Ham said the man, Tuanphatt Du, confessed to burglarizing the room in Milton Daniel Hall that day, as well as a room in Sherley Hall back in September.

According to a crime alert sent to students Friday night, the suspect hid in a closet in a female student’s room. Nothing was reported missing.

Ham said Du, 25, graduated from TCU in fall 2012. According to TCU records, Du earned a bachelor’s degree in Film-TV-Digital Media. Ham also said the suspect had no connection to anyone in the residence hall.

Ham said Du entered the residence halls by following students who had access to the building.

Du’s bail is set at $100,000. He does not have a criminal history in Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
