Lady Frogs fold in the second half

The Frogs couldn’t keep their early leads when the final buzzer rang in Athens, Ga.

After being up 35-30 at halftime, the The University of Georgia Lady Bulldogs made an 8-0 run and a 12-0 run and went on to win 62-53.

The Frogs were within three with 6:57 remaining, but with less than six minutes left in the game they were held scoreless, shooting a lowly 19 percent in the second half. Even more shooting woes persisted as TCU finished 13-18 from the free throw line. But the Frogs did win the turnover battle 16 to 22.

Junior guard Zahna Medley was TCU’s leading scorer, finishing with 19 points.

The Frogs take on SMU Wednesday at noon in the University Recreation Center.
