The Frogs are looking to show why they deserve a coveted top four position in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Two field goals and two touchdowns put the Frogs up 20-3 over the Texas Longhorns at halftime.

In their first possession, TCU wide receiver Cameron Echols-Luper returned the punt to the Texas 27-yard line. The Frogs went up 3-0 with a 42-yard field goal by Jaden Oberkrom.

TCU has scored in its opening drive in eight of 11 games this season.

An interception by Sam Carter on the 24-yard line with 6:42 left in the first quarter put the Frogs in prime scoring position. After a bobble in the end zone by Kolby Listenbee, TCU was forced to settle with a 29-yard field goal by Oberkrom.

With 56 field goals, Oberkrom is tied with Ross Evans for the third most in school history.

Terrell Lathan earned the Frogs their first touchdown of the night with a fumble recovery and a 40-yard run. The score sent the Frogs up 13-0 to finish out the first quarter.

The Horns ended the shutout after a quarter and a half with a 47-yard field goal by Nick Rose.

With less than three minutes left in the half, Boykin lobbed 38-yard jump ball to Josh Doctson to put the Frogs deep into Texas’ red zone. A 4-yard pass from Boykin to David Porter put TCU up by 17 in the last score of the half.
