TCU volleyball ends season with a victory over UTEP

TCU volleyball closed out their season in a 3-1(25-17, 16-25, 25-20, 25-19) win over The University of Texas at El Paso on Saturday.

Career-high records in digs were set by Sutton Sunstrum and Macy Capen with 32 and 12, respectively.

Natalie Gower lead the Frogs with a season-high 12 kills and 4 blocks.

The Frogs won the first set 25-17 with a kill by Blaire Pickens and two big blocks by Regan McGuire and Gower.

However, the Miners came back in the second set with 14 kills and zero errors. A 10-1 run gave UTEP their only win of the afternoon.

TCU came back in a big way with back-to-back set wins. Although the Frogs were tied 16-16 in the third set, a 6-1 run gave them the momentum to finish 25-20.

In the final set, two straight kills from Ashley Smith gave the Frogs an opening 4-0 lead. TCU never lost the advantage and finished with two more kills from Gower to win 25-19.

The Frogs finished sixth in the Big 12, with a 17-15 overall record for the 2014 season.
