Ole Miss arrived at the Peach Bowl with the best scoring defense in the country.

But after 30 minutes of play, TCU enters the locker room with the dominant defense.

The Horned Frogs forced three interceptions and sacked Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace five times in the first half shutout.

Aaron Green caught a touchdown and rushed for another, and Boykin threw his 31st touchdown of the year to help TCU to a 28-0 halftime lead.

Ole Miss began with the ball, but TCU safety Chris Hackett had other ideas.

The Big 12 interceptions leader picked off Wallace on third down, silencing a raucous Mississippi crowd.

Two plays later, a screen pass from TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin to his wideout Kolby Listenbee turned into much more.

Listenbee, who played some quarterback in high school, threw a 31-yard strike to running back Aaron Green in the end zone, giving the Frogs a quick 7-0 lead.

TCU forced an Ole Miss three-and-out on the Rebels’ next possession and Boykin took over once again.

The Frogs used their lightning-quick offense to put together a 15-play, 78-yard scoring drive.

Green capped it off with a 15-yard run, recording his second touchdown of the game and his ninth rushing score on the year.

Safety Derrick Kindred ensured a second consecutive three-and-out for Ole Miss with a flying tackle on third down, but the Frogs would punt back to the Rebels on their next possession.

Kindred showed up once again, intercepting Bo Wallace on his first down throw, but TCU wide receiver Porter fumbled and gave the ball back to Ole Miss on TCU’s next play.

Ole Miss kicker Gary Wunderlich missed a 52-yard field goal, giving the Frogs strong field position. But Boykin threw an interception and the Rebels took over at their own 30-yard line with 1:21 left in the first quarter.

The chaotic first quarter ended with Ole Miss being forced to punt away to TCU. The Frogs started the second quarter on their own 37-yard line.

A nifty fake pitch from Boykin, a shifty 17-yard run from Green and a third down run from wideout Echols-Luper led TCU into the red zone.

Boykin found his favorite target in wide receiver Josh Doctson on second-and-goal, and the Frogs led 21-0 with 11:00 remaining in the second quarter.

The Frogs’ defense continued to overpower the Rebels’ offense.

Wallace narrowly escaped a safety with two minutes remaining, but his attempt to dump the ball for an incompletion landed in the hands of TCU’s James McFarland in the Rebels’ own end zone.

TCU leads 28-0 at halftime.
