Baseball News’ latest ranking has TCU at the top of its Top 25 poll.

The No. 1 Frogs (3-0) are coming off a sweep of Southern Illinois. TCU outscored the Salukis 32-4 over the course of last weekend’s series.

TCU’s pitching staff shut out Southern Illinois on both Friday and Sunday, and the Salukis never hit for extra bases, only producing 11 singles during the three-game series.

The preseason ranked No. 1 Vanderbilt Commodores (2-1) fell to Santa Clara on Saturday, which dropped the Commodores to No. 2. Vanderbilt gave up a one run lead in the ninth inning to the Broncos, who came out on top 7-6.

Baseball America still has the Frogs ranked as the seventh-ranked team and the Commodores as the top-ranked team in its weekly Top 25 poll. TCU will face the Commodores on March 8 at the Dodger Classic in Los Angeles.

The Frogs face Texas-Arlington at Lupton Stadium on Tuesday before traveling to No. 9 Arizona State for a three-game series this weekend.
