A female TCU student reported a sexual assault to the TCU Police Department Monday, according to a TCU Crime Alert.
The student reported she was assaulted on February 14 in a campus residence hall by a known acquaintance.
The TCU Police Department added safety tips of what to do in the case of a sexual assault to the end of the crime alert.
Sergeant Kelly Hamm said the case is being investigated both internally at TCU and by the Fort Worth police. TCU Police reported the incident to Fort Worth police late Monday evening.
Per policy, the TCU police department does not comment on ongoing sexual assault investigations.
