Students will again receive free coffee during finals week courtesy of Student Government Association.

The House of Student Representatives passed H.B. 101-16 to allocate $5,000 to the project.

Matt Spangler, vice president of operations, authored legislation that would provide 120 gallons of coffee for students during finals week.

Last semester, the House passed a similar bill.

The December bill underestimated the demand from students, so Spangler said he made this resolution’s funding flexible.

Spangler said they spent $4,540 in the fall after exceeding the bill’s estimation.

“That’s why we’re asking for $5,000, just in case we underestimate again,” Spangler said.
