The university may have another day off tomorrow, as the weather forecast is calling for snow in the Fort Worth area.

There is a 70 percent chance of precipitation for the area Tuesday, with a chance of up to two inches of snow in the Tarrant County area, said meteorologist Vick Corbelli from the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth is under a winter storm watch because the temperature Tuesday will be somewhere between 32 and 36 degrees with ice and snow expected, he said.

Students will have to continue checking the university home page and their e-mail as to whether classes will be cancelled, according to the provost’s office.

A women’s basketball game is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, and officials said it is still expected to happen. Andy Anderson, assistant director of athletic media relations, said he doubts the game will be cancelled, but any scheduling decisions will depend on the severity of the weather conditions.
