Frogs kick off game week in Pasadena

The Horned Frogs kicked the week off with a bang at a welcome ceremony for the 97th Rose Bowl Game at Disneyland Resort Sunday.

Coach Gary Patterson, linebacker Tank Carder, quarterback Andy Dalton, safety Tejay Johnson and center Jake Kirkpatrick joined Tournament of Roses President Jeff Throop, Disneyland Resort VP Jon Storbeck and Mickey Mouse for the opening ceremony.

Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema and four Badger players were also present. Both coaches were presented with a crystal replica of Sleeping Beauty Castle, which served as the backdrop for the ceremony.

The Horned Frogs had practice Sunday morning before boarding the buses to Disneyland Resort. While at the resort, players had the opportunity to partake in the sights and attractions of Disneyland.

TCU players were also given an all-access pass to the ESPNZone Anaheim just outside the gates of the Disneyland Resort.

As is usually the case during game weeks, the Frogs will not practice Monday, but will get a tour of the Rose Bowl facilities for their first look at the venue.

On Monday evening, TCU will take part in the 53rd Annual Lawry’s Beef Bowl Prime Rib Dinner at Lawry’s Restaurant in Beverly Hills.
