The Horned Frogs will don a new set of uniforms and helmet for the 2011 season. The Nike uniforms were unveiled at Saturday’s annual team banquet in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
Two new home uniform designs predominately feature black and purple. One home uniform is predominately black, with purple finishing the bottom half of the sleeves at the shoulder pad. The second home uniform sports the reverse color scheme, while white numbers are emblazoned at the chest and sleeves of both jerseys and a white Nike swoosh is etched above the left chest number.
The newly unveiled away uniform features a white base for both the pants and jersey, while the player numbers are purple. A black Nike swoosh is located about the left chest number.
The helmet color scheme appears to sport a black stripe down the middle with a purple base and “TCU” spelled out in white on both sides of the helmet.
Former TCU players Brian Bonner, David Hawthorne and Jason Phillips modeled the jerseys at the banquet.
The 2010 TCU Football Team Award Winners were also announced at the banquet.
