Sports weekend preview

Swimming & Diving

The women’s swimming & diving team will take on the Air Force Falcons today at the University Rec Center Natatorium. On Saturday, it will compete again against San Diego State. On the men’s team, junior Laszlo Gyurko was named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Week Tuesday after earning two top five finishes in a national competition last week.

When: 5 p.m. today against Air Force, 1 p.m. Saturday against San Diego State

Where: University Rec Center Natatorium

Equestrian

The equestrian team goes into Saturday’s home competition against Auburn with a 2-0 record and three straight regular season victories. The team is ranked No. 6 in the nation, according to the Women’s Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll.

When: 10 a.m. Saturday

Where: October Hill Farm, Hudson Oaks, Texas

Rifle

The TCU rifle team will compete against Kentucky and Nebraska at home this weekend. After defeating Murray State last weekend, the team remains undefeated.

When: Today against Kentucky, Sunday against Nebraska

Where: TCU Rifle Range

Tennis

The women’s tennis team will compete in the HEB Baylor Invitational this weekend. The team had two players, senior Katariina Tuohimaa and sophomore Federica Denti, advance to the second qualifying stage in Hilton DFW Lakes Women’s $50,000 Tennis Classic last weekend.

When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
