Women’s tennis against SMU postponed

The tennis version of the “Battle for the Iron Skillet” will be put on the backburner.

The No. 52 TCU women’s tennis match against No. 29 SMU was postponed due to rain.

The match originally was scheduled to begin 6 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Tennis Stadium in Dallas. The match will be rescheduled for a later time, although a date and time has not been determined.

Postponed matches for the women’s tennis team aren’t a new occurrence this season.

TCU was originally scheduled to play North Texas in a consolation match on Jan. 29 at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Berkeley, Calif. That match was rescheduled for March 29.
