Dido and Aeneas opens on Thursday night at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. The opera is from the 1600s and tells a love story between a queen, Dido, and a Trojan hero, Aeneas.
Students were cast last semester and have been preparing this semester. They also run the show behind the scenes.
Students get ready backstage by doing hair and make up. Other students run the sound and lights during the performance.
Ticket prices range from $5 to $10 and can be purchased on the FWAFA website. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday night.
