Girls of Grace conference coming to 109

A conference for girls in sixth through twelfth grades will be held at McKinney Memorial Bible Church on April 26.

Girls of Grace is an all day event that will include worship, interactive sessions, and well-known speakers and Christian artists such as Britt Nicole, Jason Castro, Dara Maclean, and Brandon Heath.

The Girls of Grace conference was launched in 2002 by the all-girl Christian band Pointe of Grace.

“This conference is for the perfect age group because those years are so tough,” Carly Martin, a past conference attendee, said. “Hearing these women speak, I felt understood and like I was given the tools I needed to further my relationship with God and impact those around me.”

According to the Girls of Grace website, the conference is a fun experience for young women to learn how to “live freely, love fiercely and lead fearlessly.”

“At times, girls feel like they are the only ones who struggle with certain issues,” Pointe of Grace group member Denise Jones said. “With a Girls of Grace conference, it gives them the opportunity to come together in a large group and realize that we all have our own struggles, and yet, we are in this together.”

Anyone in the community is welcome to attend the conference, which starts at 9 a.m., and ends at 4:30 p.m.

Attendees will have the option to purchase a lunch provided at the church which is located at 4805 Arborlawn Drive.

Tickets can be purchased online for $59. For more information or tickets, visit http://www.girlsofgrace.com/tour/ft-worth-tx .
