Texas Boys Choir renewed for fifth year on Texas Touring Roster

In honor of musical excellence, Fort Worth-based Texas Boys Choir has been renewed as an artist on the Texas Touring Roster for the fifth year.

The inclusion allows the non-profit organization to receive grants from the Texas Commission on Arts which helps pay the cost of presenting the artists, according to a TBC press release.

“Being chosen for the Texas Touring Roster is an honor,” said TBC Executive Director Clint Riley. “We are pleased to continue giving communities across Texas an opportunity to hear the boys sing with the support and partnership of the TCA.”

The choir went on a southeast tour this past year, which included Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas, said Laura Kinkade, communications manager for Texas Boys Choir, Inc. This coming spring, the choir will go on a regional Texas tour.

“The boys had over 45 performances in the last academic year," Kinkade said. “These included private and corporate events.”

According to TBC’s website, the choir also performed internationally in countries including Germany, Australia, Japan, England, Mexico and Latvia.

Texas Boys Choir was established in 1946. Today, it includes 52 boys in grades ranging from four through 12.

According to the TBC press release, “artists chosen for the Texas Touring Roster have been deemed the best in their respective fields.”
